What a wonderful thing you all have done, they are all simply beautiful! I enjoyed all of the photos, someone did a great photography job too. My son and his family used to live in Riverview, they're in Ruskin now.

Blocks, yardage, as well as whole quilts were donated by the wonderful members of the Quilting Board and the Yahoo group Stashbusters. We just put them together, quilted them (one of my Bee members has a longarm with IQ and we quilted all the quilts on it) and bound them. 38 quilters from Maine to California, Washington to Florida and many states in between, as well as England and Australia made these quilts a reality! Quilters are so very generous and deserve all the credit for these beautiful quilts!!!
Thanks for posting the pictures. The quilts and the details in the quilting is spectacular. I'm glad to have been a part of it.

(Do you mind if I use the picture of the completed quilt on my blog? I had posted a pic when I donated it - I'd love for my readers to see the completed project.)

Great thanks to all, the men who fight to keep us free and the women who quilt to show our thanks.

I really admire the soldier quilts! I have been looking for a project for soldiers currently serving - not for those who will receive one while recuperating in a hospita (though I think that is a very worthy cause). These might not even be quilting projects - I heard they had to sleep on their gear - so I have heard about making some type of pillow, but haven't found websites. I also heard about making some type of item that soldiers could use around their necks to keep them cool. I realize I am getting off topic - but at this point, I just want to let the soldiers know that we are thankful.
