since everyone likes the fish quilts, here are the variants I made on fish, also another one I call Glowing Squares.
These are pieced on cheapo muslin, I cut squares the size I want. Start with a strip place diagonally, then sew another piece to one side, flip and repeat. Then the same on the other side. This is all on the machine of course. I stitch an L around the corners with the tiny pieces to hold them flat. This is how I did the basic block, like in the stars.

fish appliqued on, scales are hand embroidered

Oh gosh, these are way too cute. My fav is the fishes but anything scrappy is magical for me.
