    Someone Took My Kodachrome Quilt

Hello all, just got this off the LA today and cant wait to show it off. I will be doing a bright green to match the thread piping when I apply the black binding, will update photos when I get it done. This is my 4th attempt on the long arm, cant wait to get my own here soon!

Btw, Paul Simon's song "Kodachrome" kept running through my head when making this quilt, hence the name.
Front, use a very lime green thread:

back (I used white bobbin thread) :

I like the piecing, and then the quilting adds a whole 'nother element. Very fine.

Oh my!! The quilting is impeccable!! I'm so impressed!! I love the quilt, also, but the quilting is to die for. I wish I could quilt like that!

Beautiful quilt & quilting. When you use different color threads in the top & bobbin does the bobbin thread show through to the top?

If your tension is set correctly you should not see the bottom thread on top or the top thread on the bottom. If you do, then your tension is wrong. tension was correct on this one!

And thank you to everyone I really love this quilt.

    Love your quilting.

I went to your listing expecting to find a statement saying that someone had stolen your quilt. I must have miss read it.

There is a song by Paul Simon, the refrain for the song is " Momma, dont take my kodachrome away"
since that song was running through my head while making the top, I decided to name it "Someone Took My Kodachrome" as a play on the song.....so you were reading right, just different implication

And for those who dont know, Kodachrome was one of the first color films available for 35mm cameras way back before they had color photos It was manufactured by Kodak company

That is so cool. I love it when songs run through my head while I'm working. Great quilt.
