Southwest flare: Los Cruces - finished

A few months ago I posted a work in progress and I finally finished it. I quilted this myself on my Janome 7700 FMQ style. Here is a link to the previous post: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t207825.html.Me with a quirky smile. And yes I'm in a winter jacket and my PJs.

A close up view of the quilting. I personally FMQ this on my Janome 7700.

This is a stunning quilt. If you ever get tired of it (unlikely, I agree) send it my way.

What a fabulous quilt - colours, design and quilting. You should be very proud of it. Is it your own design?

Love that quilt. Went to their site and they had three lovely patterns for free download. I downloaded Enchanted Journey. I have questions about cross hatching. How do you start and stop each line? Do you take really small stitches, backstitch, or tie it on the back or what? You did a great job and would appreciate any info you can give me about this because I have been wanting to try it but wasn't sure how to do it. Thanks in advance.

Beautiful! I still have my pattern almost untouched (I opened and read it about 9 months ago) and just this weekend was wondering if you'd finished yours. Was thinking about the quilting , thanks so much for a timely share! You've done an awesome job.

One of my quilts on the go require cross hatching I'm looking at it and would also appreciate any tips. My tip would have been to do it before the applique trapunto goes on. Bu it is too lat for that
