What did you use for backing and batting and/or lining?
I Used June Taylor fusible batting and just did very little quilting. The back is a sheet. Nobody sees the back so I figured why spend the money on something fancy for the back.

Thank you for the info - is the batting fairly thin? So water glasses don't wobble on the table?

This batting doesn't look all that thin when you get it BUT when you iron all three layers together (top, batting, backing) it reduces down alot. It makes the quilt somewhat stiff which is good in this application. I used this because I wanted the top to lay as flat as possible. I only stitched in the ditch very little as I do not plan on washing it. I put a plastic vinyl I bought at JoAnns over it and that makes it simple to clean. The quilt lays very flat on the table and I have no problems with glasses wobbling.

That's so true! If I had such a nice kitchen, I might be persuaded to cook. No. That ain't gonna happen... LOL! But what is happening is that I LOVE LOVE LOVE your quilt! It's so fresh looking! I'm sorry it was a pain in the patoot to make but the end certainly justified the means! Kudos!
