Default Spirit Wolf

All my Christmas gifts are done and shipped off days ago. However my son who is in touch with our Native American heritage and loves all things of that nature is hard to do for. I told him I was doing something really special for him this year and there was no way it would be done in time for Christmas. I don't think he'd appreciate a quilt, so these wall hangings are perfect! I've cut each of the panels apart and am detailing each one separately. The first one has a major area of just moon so a friend suggested I do a Spirit Wolf there. How perfect is that?! It still has a lot to be done, but this is how it looks at the moment. First time I've ever done this with minimal outllining in silver metallic thread.

After looking at the Spirit Wolf closer, I've just removed the line down his nose and it looks SO much better!! Now I think I really like it!! :-)

Very Cool. It is reminiscent of the type of work done by an artist name Sue Coleman http://www.suecoleman.ca/limited.htm She will create a picture surrounding the central theme of her picture (Grizzley, loon, eagle, etc) and then the native american art equivalent is somewhere in the picture as well.
