What if you picked up some of the beige for part of the border? Or the red? Maybe the beige with texture in it. The pin-wheels say texture to me. Try something!

Love your quilt, but one caution. I have that same blue vine-y print. I washed it 4 times and it was still bleeding LOTS. I finally had to treat it with Retayne. If you haven't cut into it, make sure you pre wash it, If you've already used it, make sure you launder the quilt with lots of color catchers or Synthrapol.

I haven't washed that fabric yet, but plan to. Thank you for the warning.

I'm thinking of using the gold fabric that's in every block for the first border, making it the same width as the strips in the blocks, then a wider border of the blue flowered fabric and binding it with the dark blue vine fabric. Nothing's set in stone yet!

I love your quilt! Someone said nothing was simpler than a Rail Fence, but your Rail Fence has all these fancy parts....nothing simple about it!! Just beautiful. Sorry, I am not good at helping with borders. I am sure you will figure out what is just perfect for you.
