Default Split Rails with Diamonds

Just finished the binding on this over sized lap quilt for a gal in Florida. She wanted a new quilt but had no idea what she wanted so I sent her pics of quilts I'd made in the past. She liked one I had made for a baby 4-5 yrs ago and liked the fabric colors I'd used. Luckily I had some of the same border fabrics from the original quilt leftover so started with it as my focal fabric and went from there using what I could find in my stash. Even the backing fabric was a remnant so all in all, this was a scrap quilt. With the last of the border fabric I made a throw pillow using the fabric for the piping and backing. Made one additional block for the front and quilted it on the quilt machine. Here's the quilt on its way to Florida this morning. Hope she likes it. Also have been using my new to me IQ system too so don't look too closely at the quilting. Used a light mint green thread for the quilting so it would show up nicely on the backing.

I like the closeness of the quilting in the diamonds. Makes it glow. Beautiful quilt. Like the border quilting and sashing quilting. I like it all.
