This is for my living room wall. I drew my own pattern. I have to decide what color to use in the machine applique. suggestions :?:

Thats really cute Ruth, I would try and match the threads to each section, or use the clear monofilament thread would be easier :D

Ruth..I went back for a 2nd look, I think a dark purple would define each petal better :D

They have metalic in some colors, how would a metalic purple look...

Ruth..This is a great design and you should stand proud you did this out of the box!! You thought this thru on your own-awesome!! I vote for variegated threads! They are such fun and you can alternate the different colors for different areas you want. Go check them out..! This is such a cute and fun quilt, I'd say keep going on your creativity...unless I'm too late:)Skeat

Oh how pretty! Perfect for spring! You did a very nice drawing this pattern out ruth! Do you have an embrodery machine pattern with a bumble bee on it? Or butterfly?

I like the idea of the metalic thread too. The fabric is perfect for those flowers. Can you tell I like your wall hanging?

I love how variegated threads look, especially on flowers as it seems to give them more definition. And your purple is already a little mottled so would look wonderful with it...IMHO
