I think I may need help!! I just received a pattern I ordered for a Star Spin Quilt and I hope you all can help....The directions are different from anything I have ever had before. Now I'm not sure if I really want to tackle such a project and still remain sane!  If anyone can give me some tips or pictures or anything, I sure would appreciate it!!

Who said anything about remaining sane????

Ok...here is what you do...take a DEEP breath, breath slowly and then take those instructions ONE step at a time. When you get to a specific step you don't understand or need help with...then post that on here..there are tons of talented and smart ladies/gentlemen that will immediately help you out.

Now...what cha' waitin' for...go get started!!

I will agree....the instructions are a bit on the intimidating side!
I have the pattern just sitting and waiting for me to make it. I'll get to it sooner or later.
Now, jump in and as Nike says....Do it! :)

Mary Quite Contrary did this one and posted. Maybe she can answer some of your questions. I also bought the pattern, but haven't gotten around to doing it.

When I was checking out patterns at Quiltville, they had similar patterns but with solid panels that were the same pattern, but called different names. There were a couple of them. I pointed them out to my daughter because she also wanted to make the Star Spin one.

I'm sorry, it wasn't Quiltville that had it. Here is the one that I found like it. I hope this helps.

I don't know if you have received a place to get your star spin quilt, I ordered mine from quilt books usa.com. I noticed this is an old message you sent requesting this information, if so, please disregard.

Deb, do you belong to a quilting group? If so, take the pattern and fabrics there. Even if no one there has made one, someone might be able to interpret the directions for you.

I'm a picture person myself. Show me how it's done or show me pictures of how it's done and I can do it, but I don't follow written directions very well. I just don't understand them.

If you don't belong to a quilt group, then go to a quilt shop and ask if they can help. Some quilt shops offer classes on helping you with your own projects. Of course if you do take it to the quilt shop, make sure you pick something up so they don't think you're coming to get something for nothing.

Thank you all. I took the pattern to my Amish friend
and she's going to help me with it when we both get the
time.

Thanks all :)
