A great pattern is by Jae's Attic. She calls it Crazy Eight Strip Teaser-A Table Topper. Directions are really good, and has color pictures.

Really pretty! This is on my to-do list too (tho it looks a bit intimidating)

Good for you. Very lovely. I just bought the pattern and the first paragraph boggled my mind. Not sure I am up for this yet. Maybe after Christmas gifts are done.

The pattern I used really wasn't that hard. You make strip sets (5) of either 7 or 8 fabrics going light to dark. Then you cut triangles out from the strip sets. I did the 8 fabrics from each strip set you get 4 triangles 2 light 2 dark and 1 small triangle. Then you sew the little ones to the big ones and then sew those together.

Your topper turned out so nice............. I am looking forward to making one... Just need to find extra time.. I know that is a problem for most quilters.
Hope mine turns out as nice as yours.

I did regular binding - its a lot of pivoting but was not all that difficult (and I was a new quilter/sewer at the time).
Your colors are gorgeous.

What is the pillowcase method? I have not heard of this.
