I love seeing this. So many young girls are too busy to learn to sew (mine was). Later in life, they regret not knowing how (mine does). Bless you grammy for having the time and love to teach her.
p.s. I do the mending and hemming now that dear daughter is 35.

Good for her!! I love to see a beginning sewer! You are giving her a "life lesson" that she can use for the rest of her life. She looks like she is having fun and very interested in her project. Great job teaching her!

I love the look of concentration on her face. My daughter loved the pic and said she looks like a future quilter like me.

Isn't it wonderful to be able to share your love with a loved one! I hope she grows to love quilting as much as all of us here on this board do. She's a sweetie and looks soooooo serious. Thanks for sharing.

give her some mazes and dot to dot to sew. on the dot to dot you can have her change color of thread like changing crayons. this is how I taught my son to quilt years ago. the mazes teaches turning corners and staying between the lines. make it easy ones. remember, have fun.

Such deep concentration! It's wonderful to see young people learning how to sew.
