Mom sewed scrap fabric to 100 pieces of typing paper. She then gave half to me and half to my other sister. I cut the paper into 8-1/2" squares and made this quilt, used the rest of the material on the border

Wow! How special is that!!! I am sewing yards of scraps to 3" till rolls which will EVENTUALLY become a quilt!! Love what you did with yours!!

A great way to use your mom's scraps! It makes an heirloom from your Mother-a very special gift.

I am doing a string block exchange in September. Ours will all have a red strip in the middle. I may have to "borrow" your idea and use red fabrics in place of the black. It is beautiful!
