This is just the top. I haven't decided how to finish it. It is more lap size being about 5 ft square. Next time I will use fabric foundation, paper is hard to remove. Be glad to put this away for a while.

Ruth...what kind of paper did you use? When I do these with newspaper as long as I keep the stitch length at around 12 stitches per inche (2.0 on my digitial readout) I don't have too much trouble.....

Your quilt looks fantastic!! Love the bright colors!

I used newpaper , but it still is a job to get it off, especially where there are seams. I got most of it off and the rest can stay, unless I can get some of the grands to pick it off. I read if it is hard to get off spray, :-) it with water.......have you ever tried that?

Well, maybe because I have done so many it just seems easy to me...yes there are always a few spots where it rips so theres a bit of paper there but I never worry about leaving it.... I also have never quilted one of these...always tie them so paper isn't a worry there for me. No, have never tried spraying with water ...might be worth a try.

I love the color very vivberant. Someday I will try a string quilt as soon as I get the directions. As far as the paper it will come off in the wash.
