Here is the way I did mine, no hand sewing at all if you do a search for fun and done you will find lots of examples.

I emailed the QOV ladies and they said they would LOVE to have completed quilts. They don't usually get them completely quilted. They know how time consuming it is to finish a whole quilt.

Well, that is wonderful to know. Our Guild is doing one and we could quilt it ourselves.
