THe coordinating fabrics are all width of fabric. The novelty fabric - it has little pixies on it - was not. To cut it WOF would have had little pieces of each scene of the print.

So it ended up around 42 inches wide (I had to trim to even out the strips) and about 48 inches long. I thought about adding a border, but ... decided not.

Our "oreo" cat was 15 years old when she passed away last year. Took us a while to decide to commit to another one. Our dog is 10 years old, but I think she remembers her friend "Pookie" cause she sure plays with this liile one. I was concerned she'd be more territorial after being an Only Dog for over a year.

I love this quilt and also the name Maggie Mae. When is she expected to arrive?

Not due until early June so plenty of time. Feels kind of strange - this is a co-teacher, but she was also a running buddy of my daughter back in high school. Felt strange at first to have her as a co-worker, but I've gotten used to it.

I'm with you on making things symmetrical - it's just how I see things. I also find it hard to "break free".
