Here's my most impressive quilt. This was for my son's 11th Armored Cavalry Div. in the Army. I had a hard time finding the official Army ACU camo-and it's not great fabric to work with, but it came out great! It's all camo on the back-he called it his "cloak of invisibility" Now I have to make one for one of our 19 year olds in the 101st Airborne and another for the other in the 10th Mountaineers.
You find the artwork online, take it to Kinko's to get it made into a transparency. I found an old overhead projector and blew it up to 2'x4' on a piece of cardboard-that was my template!

I quilted the outline of the crest into every red diamond and we even put a name tape on the bottom!

Hudgoddess, That is an amazing quilt (#239)! Did you hand or machine applique the center? I know your sons are Proud!!!
