Hi everyone,

I made this lap quilt for a friend who loves doing Sudoku puzzles. There are 9 different squares in each nine patch, placed so that they each appear once in each horizontal and vertical line. I quilted the word 'sudoku' into the FMQ on the border but will give her no other clues as to the design - so the quilt itself is a puzzle. It'll be interesting to see if she gets it! :D

the word 'sudoku' in the quilting - this was the best photo I could get, it's not easy to see!

Beautiful quilt and clever FMQ sudoku... this is one pattern that I have on my list to do!

Yes, I was pleased with how it kind of gave an oldy worldy look to the whole thing. It was sent to me by a lovely lady on here a while back. :D
