    Summer In The Park

This is the Queen size Summer In The Park quilt I made for my step-daughter. I made it slightly over sized, in case she ever goes to a King sized bed. I quilted it on the quilting frame my BIL made for me using my regular 7" throat Brothers sewing machine.

Very nice quilt. Now how about posting a picture of your homemade quilting machine. I would love to have my husband make me something like that. But we need ideas.

A dog is not "almost human" and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.

Here is the frame when I was quilting my bargello.

When I'm not quilting, I have two doors on top. On one I place my ironing board and the other my cutting mat. It's higher than my dining room table so is easier on my back.

When guests come over, I shove everything under it (all sewing stuff) and place a sheet over it and it becomes a luggage rack for guests. The picture of quilt is when it was on the guest bed, which is normally shoved into the corner.

Here is the link for the frame: http://buildaquiltingframe.weebly.com/index.html

I found it on YouTube by the Missouri Quilt Co. They used jelly rolls but I cut strips from various batik fabrics.
