Default Suprisingly red by Jacqueline de Jonge

I just finished this and wanted to share it with you all. I am thinking about enlarging this to a king size but not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

I have no suggestions but that is awesome. It will make an awesome bed quilt as that as the central motif.

Beautiful quilt. As for making it larger I suggest an additional boarder using the stars that surround the center medalion and darker red from the center of the quilt. To give some color seperation of the two "reds" create another thinner border of the gold color before the new outer border with the stars. You can set these star blocks on point or in squares , either would look nice. You can copy the stars and enlarge then to suit your purposes, but be careful to stay "in scale" or proportion with the other elements.
Again nice work on a difficult pattern.

Beautiful quilt and so much detail! I agree with Lori-I think an additional border with the stars from the center would look nice a long as they were in proportion-be sure to post another pic when you finalize it.

I think you should make another king size one and send that one to me! Beautiful!

Awesome....you could simply add a series of simple, coordinating borders that will enhance, but not take eyes away from beautiful center!!!
