It must be extra fun to do it with a sister, you are lucky you are so close, it is a great sampler. Are you making more?

Yes, it's great that she quilts also. It was when I was in Massachusetts and we would e-mail each other about which block we would do next. She picked red, white, and blue. I went with greens and tans. Now we live next door to each other and can actually run across the driveway and say "Look what I did".

The blocks are twelve inches and I got most of them from either quilter's cache or a book my sister gave me called "Once More Around the Block".
I had a grand time picking my colors and deciding on blocks. I am not very good about waiting a month to do the next block, however, and we ended up finishing our tops in about 2 months. LOL. Then it was on to the next thing. I am thinking about doing another one someday. It is really good for deciding if you feel like doing a whole quilt of a particular block.

Sounds like fun to have a sister nearby that you can quilt with. I think it looks great. Good job.

Who would have thought all those colors would look so nice together, aren't samplers fun? I like to pick out the patterns I like to do.

That's really pretty! I love sampler quilts and adore scrappy ones. You've done both. It's really gorgeous! I'm drooling. So nice to have your sis right next door too. You guys will have so much fun creating together!

I always love samplers! Wish I had a quilting sister who lived across the street!
