Lady T sent this quilt for LAQ.
I love this quilt.it has so many elements..bargello, applique....and curved piecing.
I had to think about how I was going to quilt this?

SO I decided in all the white space that I would take a ruler and match up lines to the seem lines in the bargello pieced top.....to carry the line all the way down to the end of the quilt. Then I chalked stars..throughout the quilt....so they would stand out...I also wrote the words "Sweet land of Liberty" at the bottom of the white area...I love how striking everything looks. It's a beautiful quilt..something that should be hung on the wall and admired. The piecing and the pattern is just beautiful!

I quilted everything freehand using an INNOVA. I used HObbs polydown batting.

Thanks for looking.

This is beautiful. The quilting is awesome. The two sections of quilting lines that are closer together in the white area reminds me of the Twin Towers.

Amazingly beautiful all around
