Oh, I really like this! Thanks for the link, too.
I have a friend retiring from work in June and have some fabric with her name in it (vintage looking, like from the Dick and Jane era) and have wanted to make a bag for her. Will try this one!

I made another one today!! Still didn't follow the directions! I made the lining out of one solid piece of fabric and lined it with interfacing. I added batting and quilting to the "main" bag this time.

maybe one of these days i'll make one and actually follow the directions

Here's my attempt. I used flannel, and really didn't read the directions like I should have...

=D I have one more project to finish, then I'm going to post all of my turtle projects as one thread so I can share will all the turtle folk. So far I have 2 bags and 2 quilts - I have the top done on the first quilt I started, hoping to get that finished this month...

Here's a third attempt!

charm squares inside and out - handles from my scrap bin...

no interfacing - it's nice and floppy - will make a nice shopping bag since I can smoosh it up and put it in my purse until I need it.
