If I'm correct, SWOON is the name of the quilt pattern by Thimble Blossoms, and the block is a variation of Dutch Rose. sallyjane, your blocks are beautiful!

How heartbreaking. Is there anything you can do to salvage the quilt top?

I agree, I also like the way I was able to fussy cut the center piece of fabric so it looks like I appliqued a circle, though I did not.

I've never heard about the swoon block either, but it certainly is pretty and I printed off the free tutorial of the block that that was posted .
