Default A Swoon for Dad's New! Girlfriend

I don't know what this man has got but someone ought to bottle it. He is 86 now and has outlived two wives. We always thought he was a mean son-of-a-gun, but we must have been wrong. During his displacement after Hurricane Sandy, Dad found another lovely lady - at church - which is highly appropriate. She has seen lots of my projects and told him that she would love to have something I made. Well, I had something in the works and no plans for it. I thought maybe he could give it to her for Valentine's Day - but that was before I started the hand quilting - which took far too long for someone I barely know. I live in Maine, they are in New Jersey. Oh well - finally finished and ready to send. It's not one of my favorites but it is done. I'm challenging myself with orange tones.

If I were single, I'ld ask to meet your Dad -- to get a quilt like this! Only kidding - lovely item, and she should realize that it's a one-of-a-kind treasure.

You said it, swoon is what she is going to do when she receives it. ou did a beautiful job on it. Good for your Dad, to be so favorably blessed with his years and charm. I'm sure he will be pleased that you were so thoughtful to his new sweetheart.
