My SIL's dd is getting married in May and she (SIL) asked me to make the happy couple a quilt from their college t-shirts. I pieced the top and did the binding... I had a friend quilt it on her longarm machine. It was a bit more work than a typical quilt, but not bad at all and I think it turned out well. There are more pictures at my webshots account in my Quilt Projects 2007 folder. http://community.webshots.com/user/barbc914

You use a woven fusible innerfacing to stabilize them. The innerfacing stretches one way, just as the shirts stretch one way, so when putting them together you make sure the stretches are going in the opposite direction. Most shirts stretch side to side, so you would put the stretch of the innerfacing from top to bottom on the back of the shirt.

The innerfacing is thin, but it does a great job!

Nice job on the quilt Barb. I got your references. Did you get the UT fabric from fabric.com? I need some.

No I found that at www.bearpawquilting.com

Our Hancock's has similar fabric, but only for local teams.
