Default Finished at last

I went Goodwill shopping several months ago and found a hugh bag of fabric scraps for $1.50. Got it home and found out that it was actually a bag of quilt blocks, enough to make 2 nice sized quilts, mostly hand sewn.

It made me wonder what became of the person who so lovingly and patiently sewed these tiny little squares together by hand . . . and then didn't finish the quilt. The material from one definitely came from shirts, house dresses, etc.

The bag got "lost" in my sewing room until this past weekend. I organized the blocks, checked my stash and found enough to make strips and borders to enlarge the quilt and a back. I also had left over batting for the sandwich.

So here is my quilt with a past. I hope the lady that never got to finish her quilt would like what I did.

It's beautiful! I'm sure the person, who put her heart into those blocks, would be very proud of what you've done with them. It's as if you've somehow linked souls, with another quilter.

If you look closely, you can see the quilt is very happy. Someone cared enough to finish and give it a home. You will be blessed for caring.

How creative of you to take someone's UFO and bring it to life. The quilt looks great.
