Take 5 - FMQ experiment - disaster averted
I posted recently about the sad story of this quilt and a cat.

Sigh.
But it's now finished and we will never tell my friend who is getting this for her birthday!
Pattern: Take 5
Size: 64" X 76"
Backing: from Jo-ann's.
Binding: pulled from back
Quilting: My primitive version of FMQ - this time I did a different motive in each piece - a block had small squares, a rectangle, and a large square. I did daisies and loop-de-doops in the large squares, hearts in the small squares, and leaves on a vine in the rectangles. Had green thread on the top and pink in the bobbin.
To FMQ: first I scallop near the ditch around each block. THen I FMQ each block separately - starting with the outside blocks. Works for me for now!

I love, love, love this quilt! The pattern (which I have & have yet to make... grrrrr!), the colors/fabrics (yummy!) & the quilting... the whole thing just *works*. Kudos on bringing this little baby around to your way of thinking... LOL!
