Default Taming of the Scrap Piles - first project of 2013 :)

Before I was going to start any new projects on my list this year I was going to "tame my scrap pile" Using the Majic Square pattern from my guild I decide to get to work. Here you will see the two containers that I stuffed with scraps and the 5 quilts I made from the scraps. 2 of the quilts will go to my guild for charity quilts, one went to my quilting bestie, one to my sister in Canada to use at their cabin in northern Saskatchewan, and one to stay here to remind me of all the beautiful fabrics/quilts I have made in the past few years. I took lots of pictures so if any of you would like a tutorial please indicate and I will get one posted soon here.

Did you use a foundation? paper or cloth? I love string quilts and these are beautiful! What do your scrap boxes look like after?

I love them all. I don't have enough scraps to make a scrappy quilt. Yours are beautiful.

Wow, you were very productive. That was some very fast quilting since the first of the year. Great work.

Lovely quilts - did you just dive in and pick fabric randomly? I can see how they are put together but a tute would be much appreciated if you have the time
