Well I finished the first one! I have two of these I almost have finished. But, I had to share with everyone how it is coming out. The first is for my cousinbeverly in North Carolina for christmas. The other is for a silent auction.

What do you think? I had a little trouble finding a good light to take these pics today. Sorry about the angles of the pics.

What do you think about the name southern stars? I think it needs one more border of the darker teal for the outside.. Any thoughts about that?

A long shot

Stunning! How about that yellow/lime fabric for a 1" border first, then a wider wine border?????

Great idea about doing the yellow lime border. usually I do a three inch inner border and a six inch outer border. Whatever you decide it will be just fine. It really is a beauty.

Beautiful colors and beautiful work! I'm thinking a wider than usual binding in teal would finish it.

It is gorgeous. I love the color of the stars you chose. I agree that a darker teal border would would finish it beautifully. You did a great job.
