Tealfalcon sent me this quilt and didn't want primitive or country type quilting because that isn't really her style...although her family is very patriotic...this will be hanging in her entry way.

I quilted "charisma curls" in the "white" stripes of the flag and the borders. In the red stripes I just looked at each fabric and took a design from the fabric and mimic-ed it in the quilting design to give it texture.....in the blue area behind the stars I did 3 different types of swirlies..they all look similar but different....AMERICA...

I quilted everything freehand on my INNOVA no pantograph or computer quilting. I also used hobbs polydown batting.

    Thank you for looking.

Child you never cease to amaze me. With the quilting you chose you prove that country and contemporary can live to together and look good. And the quilt itself is very nice :P

Wow! I would have thought longer but I am guessing a lot of time goes into it in your head before you start stitching.

Your quilting always inspires me. I have a customer quilt to do that has several borders, and I was trying to think of a different pattern for each one...and taa daa! You've supplied inspiration and a goal to strive for...all in one!! Thanks so much!!! Your quilting it awesome!

BTW, the quilts you work on are great, too!!! But this year I'm striving to improve my quilting skills!!
