I started this quilt last month (I actually remember the exact day because it's the same day I got my new machine, the 12th) and worked nearly every day on it. I made a million mistakes and it's far from perfect but I learned some great lessons. My quilting is going to improve a ton just from my learning on this quilt.

This is the quilt with the wavy borders that I decided not to redo. Waves definitely don't "quilt out" all the way and it shows that mistake for sure but I'll be darned if any quilt I piece together ever has that same mistake from here on out! :) The biggest thing I have to say is I'm proud of myself for finishing it. When things start to go south I have a tendancy to quit at that point, and never finish it. I made myself continue on even when it was obvious this quilt would not be anywhere near perfect. That's a big accomplishment, trust me. :)

Wavy or not, I can't see where and your finished quilt is absolutely lovely! Great job!

Thanks ladies! Each pinwheel is a 3" square (there are 270 of them). Can I just say, pain in the butt! :)

I love, love love it! That is just so pretty and clean looking. A sunshine quilt. If the wave bothers you too much you can send the whole thing my way, I will call it my "waves in the sunshine" quilt. LOL I think you need to know it is there to see it. Looks wonderful.
