My long time family friends were supposed to get married this past July. Due to some health issues they postponed the wedding and have yet to set a new date. Thank goodness 'cause it gave me time to finish their wedding present:

My first QYG and braid

I recycled a flannel sheet for the backing; the one with the patch was the last strip I did; then I remembered why the sheet was in my sewing basket - there was a big hole in it!

Top corners - machine pieced but hand quilted

backing is stripped also and log cabin blocks hand quilted

And don't you dare tell them it had a hole which caused your wonderful creativity! So pretty!
