Default Quilt top I hated to finish

This is a quilt top I have finally finished. Loved the fabric, hated the way it worked up. Bartering it for a friends artwork. Just hated working on it once I decided it was not what I expected. My first, "can't stand it" quilt!

First OBW I just don't like. Now that I'm done....... I can start my next project!! Yay!!!

the print does tend to run together a bit. maybe black triangles on the corners ,turning them into blocks, would have separated them more. but still, good work!!!

What a great idea - to barter with the quilt you do not like, but the person you are bartering with must love it if she is willing to barter with you. I like it a lot - especially the colors. I think it is a very attractive quilt and I'm sure the person getting it will cherish it.

Looks great to me, but I understand how once in a while the results just don't get it. I've had the same experience.

The OBW books advise not to use any fabric that has straight lines in it, and now you know why. I still like the quilt, but I don't think I would have enjoyed working on it, so it will be an ideal quilt for your friend.
