I like them and would certainly use them for the backing on baby quilts and as components with brighter colors for baby quilts. froggyintexas

I might use the swirls or the polka dots as a backing, but on the whole, most of those fabrics do not do much for me. But, hey to each their own, this is only MY opinion.

I do like the ones with the writing, I think for a backing they would be really cute along with lots of the other choices you have for the front. Some are great and some are awesome. :)

As far as I am concerned, those designs have no personality. Some could be cut into squares, but not all. I especially do not like the ones with the lettering.

The fabrics for baby quilts are not made to please the baby for the most part. They are chosen to please the parent. Babies want to be warm and snuggly, unless there is a strong contrast and bright colors they don't really see the pattern. How many babies request quilts to match the decor of the nursery? I like these soft and subtle colors, very soothing for nervous parents who need to just calm down and cuddle the baby. When my boys were babies they slept in a room that had been papered in sale bin paper featuring orange roosters, the quilts were made from scraps and salvaged clothing. I don't recall them complaining about the decor nor did it seem to make a difference in their ability to graduate from college. So relax and if you like the fabric then get some and use it with abandon, you might even make a quilt with it.

Interesting fabrics. But I think you can keep the crown ones, and the plaids~

Gray is great - need to see more - gray is the new IN color. Would really like to see the tickin available for order - especially the blue and gray.
