I must be dense. Are the black lines not part of the quilt? Thats what I liked the best. I was going to ask how wide they were cut. Oh well, live and learn. LOL Anyhow, its beautiful.

Great idea. It breaks up the monotony and really accents the beauty of each batik by separating it in the middle. Makes you stop and see each and every different fabric.

Check out the Gemini quilts here on the board. Very similar to what you are doing. Once again, batiks make the quilt.
