I'd like to know what type of machine that is also;as I have a Hintreburg Frame and a reg. machine doesn't give me enough "space"to really quilt on it likr I thought.

My machine is the Janome 1600p with the 9.5 throat. Someday I will have a larger one. But this machine does what I want it to for now.

Hey, your quilting is more important than having a living room. You can build on a living room some other time. Love your little quilting buddy. He's adorable.

Well it rides the carriage along the tracks. Just think the reverse of free motion quilting under your sit down machine. ( you would normally move the quilt,but with this set up ya move the machine.) Some of these other ladies might be able to explain it bettter. I drewl ova the real long arms! I think they concider mine a short arm??

Does the carriage move side to side or does it allow you to go back and forth too? Does it move in more than two directions?

Yes the carriage moves side to side and front to back allowing for smooth curves, circles, or straight lines.

Very nice quilting space! I noticed in picture three you had a flat ironing surface. Did you make it and will you give me some information on what you used for it? I'm using one that is too small and would like to make a bigger one.
