I have been casually checking around for a good deal on a serger. I don't know that I really need one, but thought if the price was right, someday I'd be glad I had it. So today, I checked CL and sure enough, a Singer Serger was listed. $70. Not a bad deal. When I picked it up, she also had spools of thread in white, black (one brown as they didn't have 4 black when she purchased them), red, blue, and green! I guess it was a pretty good haul for the $$. She also threw in a little fabric which I'm going to post in a separate thread.

I have your machine, ..practice threading your machine & bear patience with it....especially on the Yellow threading.

Once you get the rhythm of the machine, then you're good to go, don't forget to oil as necessary, so your blade won't dull.

You got a good price on the Serger, they usually sell a little over $200.00.

Thanks for the advice! I can't wait to try it out. She said it had only been used a couple of times and she realized that she just wasn't the into sewing after all.
