My first OBW i wanted it for my guestroom that is in southwest designs. It turned out OK not great. Tall trees was my first quilt with applique, I added the bears to the design. Crazy quilt was a kit with lame fabric hard to work with but very colorful.

I see the two pretty OBW pictures. Was that all that was posted?

I like your OBW...like how you've used a second fabric to make more hexagons for border

Really like your fabrics for the OBW and how your blocks are framed. Applique is something you either like or don't like. I like it. Great wall-hanging. Keep up your great work and please share some more pics of your projects.

Beautiful work...I think you are being a bit hard on yourself over the OBW, some are very "out there", yours is subtle, which is easy on the eye and restful. Love that tall trees, again subtle, but interesting...the bears and the trees look great. The crazy quilt is good fun, I can imagine how difficult that one would be with that lovely shiny fabric.

Thanks for sharing with us...brightened up rather a dull Sunday for me!

I think the reason you are not happy with the OBW is because of the coloring. They need large areas of different colors. They are fun. Next time get a fabric with more uneven coloring over the fabric. The OBW needs sloptges (technical term LOL) of color here and there.

I like the way you did the borders on it, and I think your borders saved the quilt and made it interesting. I loved seeing your other quilts too. You do have a talent. I hope to see more
