I thought I would take some close ups of the fabrics........thanks so much for the kind words.......glad you all liked it. I am planning to do sashiko on the green and haven't quite decided for the panels and the four squares, but it will come to me. :D

What is sashiko? Love the fabrics and colors - so vibrant. Post finished pictures too.

Thanks, beachlady! Sashiko is a form of Japanese quilting. Here is a link that more fully describes what it is. I'm going to try my hand at it with this quilt and see what happens. Will post pictures. My hubby is half Japanese so I have found the crest for the Japanese side of his family and will use it for the pattern.

Your fabric is just amazing...I love oriental fabrics, look forward to seeing your quilting...hurry now we are all impatient to see!! :lol:

Thank you all so much! I have sandwiched it and pinned it today......it is ready for quilting....... :D hand quilting this is going to get interesting to say the least.......will update soon I hope!
