Talking Too large for my dsm!

I made this quilt from strips that we got on a shop hop three or four years ago. Each shop gave you a 2 1/2 inch wof strips from 2 different Gradient fabrics by Blank. I purchased a couple of yards of my favorites and cut strips from them. Then cut strips from a solid black I had. After sewing the strips, cutting to length, and resewing, I ended up with a 96 by 116 quilt. I knew it was too large for my dsm and have 3 quilts at my long armer right now, so I went to a lqs and rented their machine for a day! It was a hard 7 hours of sewing, but it is all done by me. (The long arming will never win any prizes!) Whee! What a quilt!

Third trip to the long arm machine. It is fun but I will never be as good on it as my professional long armer. I also love using my dsm for smaller quilts. I have a 120 by 120 in progress and it will go to her!

The thread you chose for quilting is perfect with those lucious colors in your blocks. Nice job.

My thoughts exactly! The colors just glow when combined with that black. And the quilting is fabulous! Congrats on a job well done!!!
