The colors in your quilt with the black are really beautiful. The multicolored thread in the quilting really sets it off.

Wow! Very nice quilt and very nice quilting. I'll have to remember the design, it would be perfect for my son. Hope you don't mind my copying your design. Isn't copying a good compliment?

Copy away. I don't mind sharing when asked! As a matter of fact, I am glad to share.

I used 2 1/2 inch wof strips of the colored fabric and sewed them to 2 1/2 inch wof black strips. I then cut them into 6 1/2 inch long strips. I sewed the black to the colored and then alternated the strips. I sewed a 2 1/2 wide black border around the quilt. Mine grew to 96 by 116. You can make yours as wide and long as you decide by adding/substracting 6 1/2 inch blocks to each strip and adding/subtracting strips to the width of the quilt.
Sew it up with pleasure!
Then post a picture and let us see how it turns out. Hope your son will enjoy it.

Great quilting! My friend has a long arm...I just can't get the motion going. I will leave it up to you pros out there! Your quilt is beautiful, simple = beautiful in many cases.
