I had a photo and some basic cutting directions and thought, I can do that ... and promptly started with what I thought was the proper steps... mmmm... something wasn't going together quite as it was pictured. Realized that on the photo, I thought 1 square was one color and it was actually something totally different... guess you can predict what happened next. Yep, all of it was ... well ... shall we say creatively different?

I ended up with a top that I call Butterflies and star. I like how it ended up even if it wasn't anywhere close to what I thought I was doing.

shhhhh but it was suppose to be a simple carpenter's star top, lol.... if you don't do those pesky color to color HST correctly, .... you are in a mess

It is Great!...and totally yours. I would not be surprised if others would want to make one like it. I love the carpenter's star but I like this one just as much.
