I have made 4 water color quilts.... and no more! Need your help with what to do with allllll these florals.
Please advise... I have grand kids getting married and I make them queen and king size quilts.
Thanks for all your help.

They would work well in any type of scrappy quilt. Use solid or geometric to break up the floral. Also do a larger square, like 8" or so and sash with white, black or color of your choice. Makes a beautiful quilt and the sashing calms it down.

Log Cabin or scrappy 9 patch - maybe a double wedding ring ( they have an easy way to make them now ;) )

I saw a floral quilt that was really pretty. All the floral pieces were cut in a rectangle shape, all in the same width, but different lengths, example, 4in. x 3in., 4 in. x 6 in., 4 in. x 2 1/2 in. Then each piece was sashed with dark green. Then you sewed the rectangles with sashing in rows to make the length and width you want. I thought it really looked good.

I go out to buy floral fat quarters in hopes of someday making a floral log cabin. The choices are endless, just pick a block or two and start sewing. Floral's look great in almost any setting.

Pat, I'm doing Log Cabins for my sister and me with florals. I got the idea from Karla (barnbum)
