Default My awesome antique-mall bargain!

Yesterday, in my lunch hour, I decided to stroll through a nearby antique mall. I found this in a crumpled mess on the cement floor in one of the booths. No price-tag attached. I inspected it and found just a small stain (the size of a pin-head) but otherwise the threads were still intact and found no other stains or blemishes. I inquired about the price. I was really more interested in the hanger, since I was in the market for one; and I was prepared to hear that the quilt cost $100 or more (given the size, age and quality). So, the clerk called the vendor at home. Guess what she quoted me. You'll never guess. For BOTH the hanger AND the quilt........

I'm guessing $50, but I'm sure that's WAY low....

For both items...... $15. I'm not kidding. Now, this may not be an old quilt (I have no idea how old it is) but I didn't care. It's such a pretty quilt and the hanger is in excellent shape. The vendor had no idea what to price it so she just took a guess. I wasn't going to argue with her. LOL! Oh - the stain came out. I took a bit of diluted oxy-clean to it and it came right out. I've hand-washed it; and it's now air-drying.
