My oldest daughter asked me why I buy so many sewing machines. I said without thinking, cause it makes me feel good and it doesn't break the bank. I can remember wanting a sewing machine sine I was about 7....I went to my Grams most weekend so i could use her machine. I guess this must be the second childhood they talk about

Hi Ruth,

Do you remember the post that henry parrish posted about the singer site where you can put in the serial numbers and get the exact dat it was made? I am pretty sure it was at the singer.com site.

These are really neat old machines. I like the unusual fiddle one, very cool looking

oooh what beautiful treasures you have there!!!!

I bought two antiques last year.. I have a hand crank one from 1905 and a Featherweight from 1943. I sew on the Featherweight all the time and just love it!!!

At the moment I have them both displayed in my sewing room. The hand treadle one I'm not sure if I'll use that one, so I have it displayed with an old crazy patch quilt I made many years ago. I have some bears around it too!!!

You have some gorgeous machines there!!!! Enjoy them!!
