I love the ruching! I think it gives the quilt so much texture and dimension. Some little girl is going to go WILD for that quilt!

If you used a polyester blend for the ruching, it would always look as if it just came off the sewing machine. 100% cotton will look flat in a short time, as if you had flattened it with an iron.
Cute idea and love the quilt.

hhmm didn't know that. Thanks for the info I will keep that in mind if I do another. At this time I am just trying to use up some of my stash fabric - things are getting out of control here ha ha ha

Your quilt is so adorable. I have never tried the ruching technique. Is it easy to do & would you do it again?

Polyester blend fabric or polyester blend batting? Sorry if that's a dumb question-- I'm new to quilting
