Default Quilts for our Pastor and his wife

We have been at our church for almost six years, and we love it more every day. Our dear Pastor and his wife are a big part of why. We've been working on their quilts for a while, but we are starting to get some backlog down and have really been able to concentrate on them. We finished them this afternoon and called them right up and took them to their house to deliver them. They really liked them and thanked us over and over.

Both quilts are Yellow Brick Road. We really do want to do something different, but they work up so quickly and look so good we keep going back to it.

We have used the black and brown group of fabrics before. I saved them hoping to make a quilt for myself, but they were too perfect for him.

We had to piece the back of her quilt, and we used the diagonal method. The fabric is so busy you can hardly see it, but I wanted to show it to encourage those of you who are considering this method. It is AMAZING.

Thanks for looking.

Darren

Great quilts, but, I am unfamiliar with the "diagonal method?" Please share?

I, too, am unfamiliar with this "diagonal method". I do, tho, love making "Yellow Brick Roads". They make up so quickly & adapt to so many styles of fabric. Both of yours are STUNNING! That black fabric grouping is fantastic! Thanks for sharing with us!
