Okay thats it. I have to try this tube quilting. I love your pictures.
So many possibilities. Thats kind of like that hidden 9 patch when you cut them in 1/2 and make all different blocks with them.
great stuff

WOW! What a neat way to get those ripple colors!
I had never even considered that ...
I am so grateful that there are curious minds on the Quilting Board who go one step beyond and share what they find as they look for MORE than just the basics. SALUTE!

Thanks to everyone for all of your kind words.

The reason I wanted to post this was to encourage anyone who hasn't tried this technique, yet, to go try it! And to play with the designs. I don't have more of the fabric I used for other blocks, but what's playing in my mind is how neat it would be to make another tube, for a total of 4 blocks or 16 squares and try switching that around!

When I first heard "tube quilting", I thought hmmm...funny name. I was curious and had a few minutes to go check it out. I was so amazed. I guess you'd say I'm still on beginner level, but I found this so easy!

For anyone that hasn't seen the other posts about Tube Quilting or can't find the link:

http://blog.missouriquiltco.com/2009...tally-tubular/

It is the second video down.
Someone also posted the instructions on here for those who have dial up and can't view the video.

Just do a "tube quilting" search on here, and you will find many more posts.

This is a great technique to demo at guild. A lot of members in my guild do not have internet so this is something that will be fun to show.

I love all the arrangements, but the last one is really neat for a little table runner. Cute + fast=perfect!

I'm thinking the first picture would make a great border!
