I was playing with leftover strips from my Bargello and made some table mats for the night stands and dresser. I also played with FMQ while I was at it  I love the look of tube quilting, I think I am going to make a big quilt from tubes. :P

Love your colors, great job. I enjoy doing the tube quilt. I've made 4 quilts so far. 2 baby, a twin and a queen.

Do you have a pic of your bargello posted?
Love the way the "wavy stripe" worked with tube quilting. It adds a whole new dimension. for your table mats.

me too. just go to www.missouriquiltco.com and click on their tutorials and pick projects and look at the tube pillowcase project. Very clever. I am going to go try it.

I love make the stripe-tubes quilts. Great way to get control of my scraps. Love what you did with yours, it always pays to think outside the box. Great use of leftovers.

Thank you. Yes that is the link for the tube block techniques. Keep in mind that you can use more strip variation. For example, two 2.5" strips with another two 2.5" strips, this is what I did for the one table runner. The smaller mats I did by " tubing" two 1.5" strips to one 2.5" strip, as long as your rube is equal width you can add as many strips variations as you like.

Nice runners. I wish my table tops would shine like that. Maybe if I remove some of the dust???
